Nutrition Consultations – Whats involved?

Individual consultations can be done in person at my office in Deansgrange, Dublin 18 or over the phone/zoom. Email me via the enquiry form below and I will let you know the next available date & time slots.

Phone/Skype sessions work equally well to in person, many like to do the first session in person and the follow ups online. Online sessions can be arranged for daytime or evening time slots which offers more flexibility – the nutrition advice is e-mailed to you after the phone/zoom session,

Diet & Lifestyle Advice tailored to your health needs & goals

In a nutshell, what I do is offer personalised diet & lifestyle advice which is tailored to the clients health needs and goals. This includes practical meal suggestions and recipes as well as tips on how to incorporate the changes into your lifestyle. I may also recommend blood tests to have done with your GP and suggest natural supplements if I feel you need extra nutritional support or symptom relief. My aim is to identify and treat the root cause of a health problem, not just treat the symptoms. So for example, if a person is having digestive problems, I will give them dietary advice that will offer immediate relief, but I will also investigate what the underlying causes may be and treat accordingly.

Pricing

Generally, I encourage clients to commit to around  4 consultations  If you have specific health issues and/or require ongoing support to reach your health/weight goals, then  4-6 sessions over a number of months is most beneficial. I find clients get better results when they make an investment and commit to achieving their goals within a specific time frame. It also means that you will get regular coaching & support to help you stay focused on achieving your health goals. Costs vary according to the coaching package and number of sessions you require, email me via the enquiry form below for pricing options.

Whole Body Approach

I often offer lifestyle advice alongside my nutrition advice because I really see the body as a whole and therefore take a whole body approach to wellness. For example, a person suffering with IBS or high blood pressure may need to reduce/manage their stress levels along with making dietary changes if they want to achieve real results. As such, I will often offer additional advice in terms of stress management, exercise, organizational tips, motivational exercises, strategies to overcome cravings & emotional eating etc.

Below is a more comprehensive list of health issues that can be improved with the correct dietary modifications:

Constipation, Diarrhoea, Flatulence, IBS, Reflux, IBS, Food allergies/Intolerances

How Many Sessions Are Required?

The initial consultation lasts 1 hour. You will be asked to fill out a brief questionnaire before your consultation which is then discussed in further detail during the session. This saves time and helps you get the most out of your session. In order to monitor progress and ensure the recommendations are working for you, it’s recommended that you return for a follow-up consultation 2 – 4 weeks later.

Many opt to do their follow up session via phone/skype. Most clients will attend between two and four sessions in total spread out over a few months. It really depends on the individuals health issues and level of support required.

Saying that, some people are good to go after two sessions, others need or want more long term support, it really depends on the individual and their needs and wants. You are not locked into attending multiple sessions. Ultimately, the aim is to give clients the knowledge and skills to manage their own health, so follow-ups are usually short term.
